Congresswoman Jen Kiggans, representing Virginia's 2nd district, has been active on social media, expressing sentiments on various recent events. Having assumed office in 2023, she succeeds Elaine Luria. Kiggans' background includes previous service as a Virginia state senator as well as a career in nursing, which often informs her policy priorities.

On April 17, 2025, Kiggans called for prayers on the aftermath of a tragic event at Florida State University. She said, "Please join me in praying for the students, faculty, and staff of Florida State University and for all first responders on the scene of this senseless tragedy."

The following day, on April 18, 2025, she extended a heartfelt message to her constituents and followers on Good Friday, expressing her wishes: "Wishing you a blessed Good Friday…"

Also, on April 18, Kiggans reiterated her commitment to health care access in her congressional role, reflecting on her medical background. She tweeted, "As a nurse practitioner, I will always use my voice in Congress to ensure people in #VA02 and across the country have access to affordable, quality healthcare!"

Kiggans has been an advocate for healthcare and represents Virginia’s 2nd district. Born in Tampa, Florida in 1971, Kiggans later settled in Virginia Beach. She has a nursing degree from Old Dominion University, emphasizing her commitment to health-related issues.
