The Virginia Beach Arts & Humanities Commission (AHC) reminds eligible nonprofit organizations, whose missions are based in providing arts, humanities, history, or cultural programming and services, that the Community Cultural Arts Grant application window remains open.

Community Cultural Arts Grants are designed to aid in building cultural equity in the arts in Virginia Beach by providing support for arts-based projects that reflect our changing communities through innovative, culturally rooted, and/or participatory projects. Organizations do not need to be based in Virginia Beach.

Projects must take place in Virginia Beach before June 30, 2024. Eligible organizations can request up to $5,000 in grant funding, which may be up to 75% of the project budget.

The next submission deadline is 5 p.m. on Nov. 30, 2023. Applicant organization grant presentations will take place at the Dec. 7 AHC meeting.

If funds are still available after that deadline, the final deadline for the fiscal year would be 5 p.m. on Feb. 6, 2024. Presentations would take place at the March 21, 2024, AHC meeting.

For more information, visit virginiabeach.gov/culture. To apply for a grant, visit the AHC Grant Interface online database. If you have any questions, please contact Hillary Plate, Public Programming & Partnerships Manager, at hplate@vbgov.com. The AHC will not accept faxed or emailed applications.
