Congresswoman Jen Kiggans, who represents Virginia’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, regularly updates her constituents and followers on legislative developments and local events. Her recent social media communications underscore her involvement and priorities in both national and community issues.

On April 10, 2025, Kiggans welcomed her colleague back to a leadership position within the House Republican Leadership, expressing her confidence in the leadership. She stated, "Excited to welcome my good friend @RepStefanik back to House Republican Leadership! Our House majority is in good hands with her at the helm!"

The following day, Kiggans highlighted a significant legislative achievement on April 11, 2025. She expressed her support for the recently passed SAVE Act, which requires proof of citizenship for voter registration in federal elections. She commented, "Ensuring that only Americans can vote in federal elections isn’t a partisan issue – it’s common sense. That’s why @HouseGOP proudly passed the SAVE Act today... This bill protects the right of every legal".

On the same day, she posted about a local event, celebrating the opening of a new Veterans Affairs clinic. She remarked on April 11, 2025, "It was great to have @SecVetAffairs in Chesapeake yesterday to celebrate the opening of the North Battlefield Outpatient VA Clinic! With this clinic, we are sending a clear message to Hampton Roads veterans: your service matters, and your care is our priority."

Jen Kiggans has been serving the U.S. Congress since 2023, after replacing Elaine Luria. Prior to her congressional role, she served in the Virginia Senate from 2020 to 2022. Born in 1971 in Tampa, Florida, she now resides in Virginia Beach. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Old Dominion University, obtained in 2011.
