The MASA Convention has Been Held in Virginia Beach for 23 Years 

The Mid-Atlantic Shrine Association (MASA) will hold its 23rd annual convention in Virginia Beach, Sept. 7-10, 2023.

Shriners International is a fraternity based on fun, fellowship and the Masonic principles of brotherly love, relief and truth. With nearly 200 local chapters and thousands of clubs on six continents, Shriners are known for their fellowship, brotherhood, compassion and generosity. The fraternity established Shriners Hospitals for Children as its official philanthropy in 1922, and continues to support it today, while striving to make the world a happier, better place.

Atlantic Avenue from 17th to 29th Street

Free Event 

Don't miss the famous Shriners parade as they drive mini cars down Atlantic Avenue starting at 17th Street with bands, chanters, horse patrols, clowns and more. This is a fun event for the entire family. Everyone recognizes a Shriner in their big red fez and mini-motor cars.

Starting at 8:30 a.m. on Sept. 9, Atlantic Avenue from 9th Street to 17th Street and the 200 blocks of 10th Street to 16th Street will be closed for parade assembly. Beginning at 9 a.m., Atlantic Avenue will be closed from 9th to 29th Street for the parade route. Atlantic Avenue will open by 1 p.m., or when the parade ends, whichever is sooner.
