Title Sponsor Roy E. Hendrix, a local businessman, community leader and military veteran, recognized the need for a business hub. The business center features laptops, specialized business software, business books, online resources and new furnishings that enable physical distancing or group study. Library cardholders can access this area at no charge, by-appointment only, during Slover operating hours. Additional donors include the Slover Library Foundation, TowneBank, the City of Norfolk and the Edwin S. Webster Foundation. The business center resources are also made possible through partnerships with Grow with Google, Norfolk Innovation Corridor, the City of Norfolk’s Economic Development Department, and local businesses.

The Granby Waffle Shop, located inside Slover Library and adjacent to Selden Market, offers sweet and savory waffles. Owner and Operator James “Jamie” Colston and partners, brothers Brad and Brian Barzoloski, are thrilled to bring their Richmond-based restaurant concept to Downtown Norfolk. They plan to introduce new and exciting ways to enjoy a classic dish. The shop is located at 235 E. Plume Street. Visit granbywaffleshop.com.
