On April 1, 2025, Kiggans announced her meeting with the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) to address issues concerning the nation's naval fleet. She emphasized the importance of expanding the fleet, reducing maintenance delays, and bolstering America’s shipbuilding capabilities.
