Congresswoman Jen Kiggans, representing Virginia's 2nd District, shared insights and activities on social media recently. She addressed topics ranging from military support to government operations and local engagements.

On March 11, 2025, Congresswoman Kiggans emphasized the critical role of the Military Sealift Command in supporting the Navy's mission. She highlighted her participation in a hearing with the House Armed Services Committee Republicans to discuss strategies for enhancing shipbuilding efforts. In her words: "Our Navy can’t accomplish its mission without the important work of the Military Sealift Command. Today, I spoke in the @HASCRepublicans hearing about strategies to bolster our shipbuilding - particularly when it comes to our MSC vessels that do so much to supply the fleet!"

Later that day, she reported joining fellow House GOP members in a vote aimed at maintaining government operations. Her succinct message was: "I just joined the @HouseGOP in voting to keep our government open and working for the American people."

On March 12, 2025, Kiggans hosted local constituents James and Cody from AK9i at the Capitol. She noted Cody's service as a police dog specializing in bomb detection who worked at the U.S. Embassy in Iraq. Expressing gratitude for this service, she tweeted: "It was great to host #VA02 locals James and Cody from AK9i at the Capitol today! Cody was a police dog who specialized in bomb detection and worked at the U.S. Embassy in Iraq. Thank you for your service, Cody!"
