VBPD Apprehend Suspect in Armed Robbery at 7-Eleven on General Booth Boulevard

On March 8, 2024, officers from the Virginia Beach Police Department (VBPD) responded to an armed robbery at a 7-Eleven convenience store located in the 1600 block of General Booth Blvd.

At 2:36 a.m., the suspect, identified as Lucca Ferreira (M/18) of Virginia Beach, entered the store brandishing a firearm and threatened the clerk. Ferreira proceeded to leap over the counter, taking multiple boxes of cigarettes and lighters before exiting the store.

Ferreira was located by VBPD officers a few blocks away and promptly apprehended without incident.

Ferreira faces charges including Robbery, Use of a Firearm in Commission of a Felony, and Attempted Carjacking.

Note: The charges mentioned in this press release are accusations, and the arrested individual is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
