NORFOLK, Va. – On Dec. 9, the MacArthur Memorial in downtown Norfolk will host free, family-friendly activities and an onsite Toys for Tots toy drive from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Come celebrate the holiday season while helping to support our local military families!

Visitors are invited to drop off unopened toys for the Toys for Tots toy drive. Throughout the day, the museum will be offering several holiday activities, including the annual Cards for Veterans program, origami folding, and the debut of the brand-new MacArthur Memorial Brick Scavenger Hunt. From Civil War soldiers to WWII paratroopers, this scavenger hunt will challenge visitors to find historic mini-brick figures in the museum’s exhibits.

Santa will also make his first visit to the MacArthur Memorial from 9 a.m. – noon. Guests interested in meeting Santa must register in advance for a time slot.

All activities are FREE. Registration is not required to take part in the other holiday activities. For more information, visit www.macarthurmemorial.org.
