Congresswoman Jen Kiggans, representing Virginia's 2nd district, recently shared several updates via her Twitter account. Kiggans, who has served in the U.S. Congress since 2023 after replacing Elaine Luria, highlighted local efforts in security and environmental conservation.
On April 22, 2025, Kiggans reported the efforts of the Virginia Homeland Security Task Force, noting that "Since February, the Virginia Homeland Security Task Force has arrested 521 criminal illegal immigrants – 132 of which were affiliated with dangerous gangs like MS-13 & Tren de Aragua." Later that day, Kiggans celebrated Earth Day with a focus on environmental preservation, tweeting, "Happy #EarthDay! Jen Kiggans, aged 51, was born in Tampa, Florida, and has been residing in Virginia Beach. She began her political career in the Virginia Senate before transitioning to the U.S. Congress. A graduate of Old Dominion University, she holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
