The Slover Library in Norfolk, Virginia, is preparing to celebrate its 10th anniversary with a series of events designed to honor its history and role within the community. The celebrations will begin on Friday, January 10, featuring guided tours that highlight the facility's historical significance and public offerings. These tours will be available from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., allowing attendees to learn more about one of Norfolk's notable landmarks.
On Saturday, January 11, the Downtown Branch at Slover will offer a range of family-friendly activities from noon until 4 p.m. Among the planned events are crafts, balloon animals, fairy hair tinsel sessions, a magic show, princess story time, and birthday bingo. All activities are free and open to everyone.
Attendees can also participate in a make-and-take workshop at the Creative Studios or visit the Hendrix Business Center for professional headshots. Furthermore, guided tours of the Sargeant Memorial Collection will be available to showcase Norfolk’s rich historical archives.
