Congresswoman Jen Kiggans highlights key legislative actions on December 10th

Congresswoman Jen Kiggans, representing Virginia's 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, shared updates on her legislative activities and initiatives through a series of tweets dated December 10, 2024. Her posts highlight significant developments related to national defense and economic growth in Virginia.

On December 10, 2024, Kiggans announced her return to Washington D.C. for an important vote on the final FY24 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). She emphasized the bill's role in enhancing the quality of life for servicemembers and ensuring military readiness. "Back in D.C. this week to vote on on the final FY24 National Defense Authorization Act...! This bill does so much to invest in the quality of life of our servicemembers and ensures our military is ready for the fight tonight! Stay tuned for more about what this bill does!"

Later that day, Kiggans tweeted about a funding initiative aimed at expanding and modernizing microchip production in Virginia. She expressed pride in joining Governor Youngkin and other members of the Virginia Delegation in supporting this project, which she described as beneficial for the Commonwealth. "This funding will provide up to $275 million towards expanding and modernizing microchip production right here in Virginia...! I was proud to join @GovernorVA and most of the Virginia Delegation in sending a letter of support for this project! A great day for the Commonwealth!!"

Additionally, Kiggans invited her followers to watch her appearance on WTKR3 where she would discuss topics related to NDAA and issues concerning her congressional district VA02. "Tune in to @WTKR3 tonight to hear me talk all things #NDAA…! #VA02"
