Making the City your next best customer.
NORFOLK, VA – The Office of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, in partnership with the Department of Finance’s Purchasing Division, will host its first food-based workshop – Bon Appetit: Food Business Forum & Vendor Fair – on Friday, Oct. 13, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at The Kroc Center located at 1401 Ballentine Blvd.
This event allows local caterers, food truck vendors, restaurant owners, and other food service professionals to connect with City of Norfolk departments purchasing meals and food services and to learn about upcoming contract opportunities. Attendees will gain information about business resources available from the City and other community partners.
The forum will kick off with a regulatory panel that includes the Norfolk Department of Public Health, Commissioner of Revenue, Department of Planning and a local commercial kitchen. In addition, six Norfolk food-based businesses will highlight their journey growing a food enterprise.
