Out of precaution and safety reasons, the closure of Rudee Loop south to the public will be extended another day. This will allow Beach It! crews to load out heavy equipment quickly and efficiently during the festival breakdown.

The following areas will be closed through Tuesday, June 27:

  • 2nd Street Connector
  • Rudee Loop Parking Lot
  • 4th Street Municipal Lot
  • 3rd Street Gravel Lot
The public will be able to access the boardwalk and Grommet Island Park but the City urges individuals to listen to and stand clear of Country Nation staff if within the construction zone. The beach will be open but there may be times when access is limited due to the festival loading out.

All parking areas affected by the festival will be open by Friday, June 30. For more information about road closures, access during special events at the Oceanfront, visit VirginiaBeach.gov/EventInfo.
