78 percent of applicants to the Advanced Technology Institute were admitted for fall 2018

At the Advanced Technology Institute, 52 percent of undergraduate students are nontraditional students - age 25 or older - and 94 percent are male, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The two-year private for-profit institution in Virginia Beach enrolled 609 students in fall 2018, all in undergraduate programs, data shows. 4.4 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

84 percent of undergraduates are residents of Virginia, and 16 percent are residents of other states.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (46 percent) and Black or African American (40 percent).

The school admitted 78 percent of the 448 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 65 percent enrolled.
