On Saturday, March 22, former Lake Taylor High School standout JJ Quinerly’s current collegiate team the West Virginia Mountaineers won 78-59 against the Columbia Lions in the NCAA Division I Basketball Championship Tournament.

Hosted in Carmichael Arena, this was the first game against the Columbia Lions during the championship.

The West Virginia Mountaineers’ next game will take place on Monday, March 24 at 7 p.m. in Carmichael Arena against North Carolina Tar Heels.

JJ Quinerly’s hometown is Norfolk and game position is guard.
