On Friday, March 21, former Lake Taylor High School standout Melo Baines’ current collegiate team the Norfolk State Spartans lost 95-69 against the Florida Gators in the NCAA Division I Basketball Championship Tournament.

Hosted in Lenovo Center, this was the first game against the Florida Gators during the championship.

Melo Baines’ hometown is Norfolk and game position is forward.
