Keep Norfolk Beautiful (KNB) is set to launch the Great American Cleanup, a three-month initiative aimed at enhancing community cleanliness. The event invites participation from local volunteers and organizations.

The cleanup begins with two events organized by KNB. On March 21, participants can join KNB, WNSB Hot 91 FM, and Electrified Marina for a community cleanup at Lafayette Park from 10 a.m. to noon. The following day, March 22, a beach cleanup will take place at Community Beach Park during the same hours. Interested individuals must register at www.norfolk.gov/gac2025.

The Great American Cleanup runs from March 1 to May 31. KNB encourages businesses, civic groups, schools, faith-based organizations, scout troops, and individuals to either join existing cleanups or organize their own in parks, beaches, neighborhoods, or communities. KNB provides necessary supplies such as gloves and safety gear.

For more information on cleanups and resources supporting litter-free communities, visit www.norfolk.gov/knb or follow Keep Norfolk Beautiful on social media platforms.
