On Sunday, March 2, the Chesapeake Police Department will carry out a training exercise at the Municipal Center. The exercise is scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m. and will include simulated gunfire noise. People in nearby areas may hear these sounds and notice an increased police presence.
The department has assured that no live ammunition will be used during this training, which is expected to last less than an hour.
