She emphasized the importance of this logistics service for the Navy's daily operations, stating: "I recently visited with Military Sealift Command at Naval Station Norfolk to learn more about the issues facing this critical logistics service. Without them, so much of what the Navy does on a daily basis would not be possible. Thank you for supplying the fleet…!"

On February 10, 2025, Kiggans expressed her approval of a decision made by the Virginia High School Sports League regarding fair play for female student athletes. She described it as a "commonsense win," stating: "This is a commonsense win for girls across the Commonwealth...! I am grateful that the Virginia High School Sports League did the right thing and is guaranteeing fair play for our female student athletes!"
