Congresswoman Jen Kiggans, representing Virginia's 2nd district, shared her views on recent developments in sports and education policy through a series of tweets. Kiggans has been serving in the U.S. Congress since 2023, after succeeding Elaine Luria. Her professional background includes service in the Virginia Senate from 2020 to 2022.

On February 6, 2025, Kiggans expressed approval of a decision made by the NCAA. She tweeted: "It’s official...! Glad to see the NCAA make the right call. A massive win for female athletes everywhere!"

Later that day, she voiced concerns regarding Virginia High School League's (VHSL) stance on transgender athletes competing in girls' sports despite an Executive Order issued recently. She stated: "Virginia’s girls deserve better than this. Despite yesterday’s Executive Order, @VHSL_ is continuing to allow transgender athletes to compete in high school girls’ sports. They are deliberately choosing to ignore that 80% of Americans agree on this issue."

In another tweet posted shortly thereafter, Kiggans shared a link without additional commentary: "https://t.co/d6McwKgBUB"
