Later that day, she acknowledged Governor Youngkin's leadership during this difficult time. On January 30, 2025, she tweeted: "Governor Youngkin is spot on…when tragedy strikes, Americans come together to support one another. There is a long road ahead, and we must be there to aid and uplift all those affected by this terrible disaster. Thank you for your leadership, @GovernorVA."

In a subsequent message posted on January 30, 2025, Kiggans emphasized national unity and perseverance: "A powerful message of perseverance in a time of unfathomable tragedy…. It’s time to come together as a nation to lift up the grieving families of the passengers, crew, and military personnel who lost their lives in last night’s terrible accident."
