Congresswoman Jen Kiggans, representing Virginia's 2nd district since 2023, shared updates on her recent activities and engagements via social media. Kiggans, who succeeded Elaine Luria, has been active in both her congressional duties and local community events.

On January 25, 2025, Kiggans expressed concerns about the current U.S. leadership on the international stage. She stated, "After four years of failed leadership on the world stage, America must return to a policy of peace through strength." She also mentioned her appearance on The Briefing with Steve Scully to discuss her role on the Armed Services Committee and future military plans.

The following day, January 26, she acknowledged her team's efforts in the district while she was in Washington. She noted, "While I was in Washington, Team Kiggans was busy in the district last week...!" Her team attended several events including the ribbon-cutting ceremony for Aviva Senior Living Facility and the opening of a new Chartway Credit Union branch.

Later that day, Kiggans recounted hosting various officials at the Capitol during a busy week in Washington. She wrote, "We had another busy week in Washington hosting friends and visitors to the Capitol last week...!" Among those she met were Naval Reserve Chief Vice Admiral Lacore and Japanese Congressional Minister Ono.
