2022 Updated Virginia Wesleyan Indoor/Outdoor Spectator Policy

16

Virginia Wesleyan College Athletics issued the following announcement on Dec. 29

Compliance with these protocols is vital to the success of Virginia Wesleyan athletics. The University reserves the right to adjust this policy at any time to ensure the success of its indoor and outdoor sport seasons. Thank you in advance for following all guidelines in an effort to keep you and the VWU campus community safe.

The following are the spectator protocols for all indoor and outdoor intercollegiate athletic competitions.

Indoor Athletic Events

Due to concerns associated with the spread of the Omicron variant, our spectator policy has been updated as of December 29, 2021.

All spectators, regardless of vaccination status, are required to wear a mask per University policy. Masks must be worn appropriately, covering the nose and mouth.

Social distancing in TowneBank Arena will also be enforced. Spectators may only sit in designated areas. Any seat with an X on it will not be available for seating and any section blocked off will be closed. We ask spectators to be mindful of signage and markings while choosing their seats.

Spectators who fail to follow the University's COVID policies will be asked to leave the facility. Please support our efforts to keep our campus community and our visitors safe and healthy.

Outdoor Athletic Events

All spectators are asked to socially distance themselves at least 6 feet apart from other spectators, otherwise masks are required regardless of vaccination status.
