Census Bureau: 80.3 percent of people in Norfolk were old enough to vote in 2019

Of the 244,601 citizens living in Norfolk in 2019, 196,397 were old enough to vote as of Jan. 26, according to U.S. Census Bureau data.

The bureau reported 93,164 of those people were female and 103,233 were male.

Data for this story was compiled from the bureau’s American Community Survey. Information from the survey helps to determine how federal and state funds are distributed.
