There were 3,888 Hispanic students enrolled in Norfolk City Public Schools District in the 2023-24 school year, 6.5% more than the previous year, according to the Virginia Department of Education.

Data showed that Norfolk City Public Schools District welcomed 26,884 students during the 2023-24 school year. Among them, Hispanic students comprised 14.5% of the student body to be the third most represented ethnicity in the school.

Norfolk City Public Schools District roughly covers schools within Norfolk City and has a main office in Norfolk.

Among the 44 schools in Norfolk City Public Schools District, Norview High School recorded the highest enrollment of Hispanic students in the 2023-24 school year.

According to Public School Review, Virginia public schools have an average student-to-teacher ratio of 14:1, slightly better than the national average of 15:1. Minority students, primarily Hispanic and Black, make up 54% of the enrollment, while white students constitute 46%.
