There were 39 American Indian students enrolled in Suffolk City Public Schools District in the 2023-24 school year, 5.4% more than the previous year, according to the Virginia Department of Education.

Data showed that Suffolk City Public Schools District welcomed 14,520 students during the 2023-24 school year. Among them, American Indian students comprised 0.3% of the student body to be the second least represented ethnicity in the school.

Among the 19 schools in Suffolk City Public Schools District, Nansemond River High School recorded the highest enrollment of American Indian students in the 2023-24 school year.
