The Virginia Beach Restaurant Association (VBRA) partnered with internationally known photographer Nathan W. Beck for the latest Sandler Center for the Performing Arts Art Gallery exhibition, “The Recipe,” an artistic journey through the Virginia Beach restaurant scene.

The exhibition features photography of various Virginia Beach restaurant-related themes, including culinary careers, farming, seafood, and food distributors, restaurant guests, behind the scenes in the kitchen, menu items and a “Last Call” section.

“Embark on a visual odyssey through the artistry of culinary craftsmanship, as we showcase the soul of flavors, the dance of the kitchen, the origins of ingredients, the dedication of culinary students and instructors, and the unwavering commitment of restaurant owners and staff,” said Beck and the VBRA in a joint statement. “These captivating photographs, featuring members of the VBRA, serve as a guide, a family tradition, and a shared experience – a connection that transcends the boundaries of the dining table.”

Artwork in this exhibition will be on display to the public until the end of March 2024 and can be viewed when the Sandler Center box office is open as well as during Sandler Center events.
