Men's Basketball Hosts Coastal Carolina Thursday Night

The Old Dominion men's basketball team will return to the home floor of Chartway Arena on Thursday night to take on Coastal Carolina in Sun Belt Conference action at 7 p.m. ODU will then close the week out heading to Huntington, West Virginia to face Marshall on Saturday night also at 7 p.m.
 
The matchup with Coastal will be the third all-time meeting, with all of them having taken place in Norfolk. ODU has won both prior meetings in the 2001-02 season (81-67) and the 2011-12 season (68-67).
 
Saturday's meeting with Marshall will be the 27th all-time meeting with each team winning 13 times. The teams split last year each winning at home with ODU winning 79-64 and Marshall taking a 67-63 win.
 
STREAM/AUDIO
Both games will be streamed on ESPN+. Scott Jackson and Billy Mann will have the call on Thursday night at 7 p.m.
 
ESPN Radio 94.1FM will have the radio broadcast both days with Ted Alexander and Dave Twardzik on the call starting at 6:30 p.m. both nights with the Toyota Pregame Show.
 
LAST TIME OUT
Ben Stanley finished with a season-high 22 points to lead four in double figures as Old Dominion held the lead throughout overtime and defeated Georgia Southern 81-75 in a Sun Belt Conference contest Saturday afternoon. Tyreek Scott-Grayson added 18 points, Chaunce Jenkins had 14 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists, while Mekhi Long just missed a double-double with 13 points and nine rebounds.
 
Coastal Carolina had four players reach double figures in scoring, but it was not enough in an 81-66 loss at Marshall University on Saturday afternoon at the Cam Henderson Center in Huntington, W.Va.  Antonio Daye, led the foursome with 15 points. Linton Brown came off the bench and scored 11 points, with nine of those points coming on three-point field goals. Essam Mostafa and Jomaru Brown added 10 points each in the loss. 
 
Marshall was led by Tavion Kinsey with 27 points, while freshman Micah Handlogten had 20 points and 19 rebounds for the Thundering Herd. Marshall outrebounded CCU 53-38 with 20 of those rebounds coming on the offensive end, resulting in 19 second-chance points for the Thundering Herd.
