Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters recently issued the following announcement.
CHKD's Scoliosis and Spine program will be hosting its 2nd annual Scoliosis Festival on Saturday, August 21, from 9:00 to 11:30 a.m., at Coastal Prosthetics and Orthotics in Chesapeake (433 Network Station, Chesapeake, VA 23320).
Since many patients may have missed the opportunity to be screened for scoliosis during the pandemic, our spine program will provide free on-site scoliosis screening and education. Patients may then schedule formal visits based on their assessments.
Coastal Prosthetics and Orthotics will demonstrate how braces are made and show the latest bracing technology. Local scoliosis support groups and multiple spinal device manufacturers will have booths for additional education.
