Cost of college went up for all students at Regent University

Tuition and fees rose 6.3 percent for 2018-19 at Regent University, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Virginia students paid $18,380 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year – $1,092 more than the $17,288 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 97 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 269 students received grants or scholarships totaling $3.3 million and 265 students took out student loans totaling more than $1.7 million.

Including all undergraduates (9,889), 3,660 students used grants or scholarships totaling $26.5 million, and 3,542 students took out $33.9 million in federal student loans.
