Cost of college went down for all students at the Advanced Technology Institute

Tuition and fees fell 0.4 percent for 2018-19 at the Advanced Technology Institute, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Virginia students paid $13,200 to attend the two-year private for-profit institution this year – $50 less than the $13,250 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 76 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 108 students received grants or scholarships totaling $602,991 and 86 students took out student loans totaling more than $588,435.

Including all undergraduates (609), 193 students used grants or scholarships totaling $899,333, and 125 students took out $874,036 in federal student loans.
