Cost of college was unchanged for all students at the Aviation Institute of Maintenance-Chesapeake

Tuition and fees were unchanged for 2018-19 at the Aviation Institute of Maintenance-Chesapeake, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Virginia students paid $16,757 to attend the two-year private for-profit institution in both the 2017-18 and 2018-19 academic years.

Data shows 78 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 15 students received grants or scholarships totaling $86,800 and 13 students took out student loans totaling more than $118,264.

Including all undergraduates (239), 111 students used grants or scholarships totaling $654,859, and 138 students took out $1.6 million in federal student loans.
