Virginia Beach Schools recently shared updates on their social media regarding the Pitch, Hit & Run event. The tweets highlight student participation and achievements in this athletic competition.
On June 18, Virginia Beach Schools reported that “185 students came ready to compete at our June 4 Pitch, Hit & Run!” This turnout qualified them automatically for the Team Championships in August. The post also expressed gratitude towards Kellam High School’s National Honor Society volunteers who assisted during the event.
In another tweet from the same day, Virginia Beach Schools announced the champions of the softball and baseball categories. According to their post, “Softball Champs : Ridhankumar G. (Woodstock), Sofia U. (Bayside), Natalie A.* (ODS), Brooklynn S. (Brandon) Baseball Champs : Jackson R.* (Alanton), Lawson O. (Tallwood Elem), Bradley A. (Strawbridge), Nate A. (Corporate Landing Middle)”. Notably, Natalie A. and Jackson R., marked with an asterisk, are repeat winners from 2024.

The Pitch, Hit & Run is an annual competition organized by Major League Baseball that encourages youth participation in baseball and softball skills challenges.
