Earlier this month, the Virginia Beach Police Department (VBPD) led a multi-day operation aimed at tackling violent crime and gang-related activities. The operation, which took place from July 14 to July 17, 2025, was carried out in collaboration with several law enforcement agencies and specialized units.
The operation resulted from months of intelligence gathering and investigative efforts. It involved the execution of eight residential search warrants in Virginia Beach, Norfolk, and Chesapeake. The targets were members of the EBK (Everybody Killer) gang, linked to the Bounty Hunter Watts gang. The investigation employed a top-down enforcement strategy to dismantle gang membership and leadership.
With the cooperation of the Virginia Beach Commonwealth’s Attorney Office, over 74 direct indictments were secured on charges including gang participation, recruitment, weapons violations, and narcotics distribution.
In addition to these indictments, further arrests were made for offenses such as drug distribution, illegal firearm possession, and other gang-related activities. The search warrants led to the recovery of 13 firearms, ammunition, narcotics, and evidence tied to organized crime.
“This operation demonstrates our department’s unwavering commitment to pursuing those who choose to engage in violence and lawlessness in our city,” stated Virginia Beach Police Chief Paul W. Neudigate. “We will continue to apply pressure through strategic enforcement operations to remove dangerous individuals from our neighborhoods and hold them accountable.”
The success of this operation relied heavily on the collaboration and support from various law enforcement agencies.
Note: All charges mentioned are accusations. Individuals arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
