Virginia Beach Parks & Recreation will organize the third annual Autumn in the Air festival on Saturday, November 1, from noon to 5 p.m. at Mount Trashmore Park. The event is free and open to families, offering live music, local food vendors, games, and interactive activities for all ages.
The main stage, called Banjos, Brews & Bites, will present folk, Americana, and rock performances during the afternoon. Food trucks and beverage vendors such as Voodoo Brewing Co. Virginia Beach, Bear House Coffee, Hot Mama’s Kitchen, Mello Beans Coffee, Potato Peeps, Rio Good Food, Sweet Life Cupcakery and Sweet Tweets will be present. Alcoholic beverages can be purchased by guests who are 21 or older with valid identification. Alcohol must be consumed within a designated beer garden area.
A new feature this year is the Resource and Vendor Village. This area will include city departments along with businesses selling handcrafted goods like ceramics, jewelry, apparel and woodwork. There will also be pet-friendly businesses and organizations providing clothing, insurance and school resources. Pre-packaged treats such as popcorn, jerky and cookies will also be available.
One of the highlighted activities is TreeTopia—an educational section focused on tree planting and conservation efforts. Visitors can participate in hands-on activities with local arborists and horticulture experts while receiving a free sapling until supplies run out. Attendees are encouraged to share their photos using #VBPlantingPals on social media.
Admission and parking for the festival are free of charge. Since seating is limited at Mount Trashmore Park, attendees are advised to bring lawn chairs or blankets. Outside food and non-alcoholic drinks are allowed; however tents and large coolers are not permitted at the venue. Bags and small coolers will be checked at entry.
