Virginia Beach City Public Schools (VBSchools) has shared several updates on social media as the district prepares for the start of the 2025–26 academic year.

On August 21, VBSchools posted about recent open house events, highlighting an appearance by a therapy dog: “Another great day of open houses! Therapy Dog Molly at North Landing Elementary made it even brighter. Check with your child’s school for upcoming open house dates. We are just 4 days away from an amazing school year! #WeAreVBSchools #VBCPSBackToSchool”

The following day, August 22, the district reminded families of the first day of classes and provided information about start times: “We’re excited for a new year of learning and growing together!
