Virginia Beach City Public Schools (VBSchools) has used its social media platform to encourage community involvement, offer financial aid guidance, and highlight student athletic achievements in recent posts.

On March 25, 2026, VBSchools called on the local community to engage with schools: ” Make an impact where it matters most, right in our schools! Parents, guardians, and community members step up each year to support classrooms, events, and students. Every hour counts! Learn more and get started → https://t.co/KMpB5B3xQl @VBFACE1  #WeAreVBSchools https://t.co/GdbVEx6fzZ”

The following day, VBSchools provided information for families seeking assistance with federal student aid applications: ” Virginia students and families can get help completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Text “Hello” to 434-478-4003 for answers from a financial aid expert within 24 business hours. Check school deadlines and learn more at https://t.co/lh0WTXuxpb. https://t.co/amr73hrwzg” The FAFSA is a key form required for students to access federal grants, loans, and work-study funds for college.

Later that same day, VBSchools recognized the accomplishments of its winter athletes: “The School Board recently recognized VBCPS winter athletes, including @VHSL_ state championship teams: First Colonial (girls & boys swim and dive), Kempsville (gymnastics), and Cox (wrestling). Individual state champs: • Avery Handlon, Kellam HS – gymnastics (uneven bars)” State-level competitions are organized by the Virginia High School League (VHSL), which oversees interscholastic athletic programs across public high schools in Virginia.

Virginia Beach City Public Schools is one of the largest school divisions in Virginia. It regularly communicates updates about educational opportunities and achievements through its official channels.
