Hampton Roads Transit (HRT) will maintain its suspension of all services on Friday, February 21, due to ongoing adverse weather conditions. The decision affects all bus routes, paratransit services, the Tide Light Rail, Elizabeth River Ferry, OnDemand ridesharing, and the Base Express at Naval Station Norfolk.

Service details for Saturday will be announced on Friday. William E. Harrell, President and CEO of HRT, stated, “Safety is our top concern, and we realize this decision will inconvenience our customers, particularly those who rely on us to get to work.” He emphasized that the safety of customers and staff is paramount while allowing local authorities time to clear roads.

Efforts are underway by HRT to clear transit centers and other facilities; however, most bus stops remain blocked by snow. Additionally, information booths at transit centers and public access to administrative facilities will be closed on Friday. The Customer Service Call Center will also not operate.

For more information and updates regarding HRT services during this period, visit their website or contact them directly.
