Chesapeake City is calling on its residents to provide valuable input for the City’s Comprehensive Plan by participating in a Third Places survey. The survey aims to identify and understand the community's preferred locations for relaxation and socialization outside of their homes and workplaces.

"A 'third place' is one away from our homes and workplaces where we go to relax and socialize in public," explained the City of Chesapeake. Emphasizing the inclusivity of such places, the city highlighted that these spots typically involve little or no cost and serve as spaces for individuals to simply be present and feel a sense of belonging.

Residents are encouraged to share their favorite third places and where they enjoy spending their time when not at home or work in the survey. The City of Chesapeake has set a deadline of May 5 for participants to submit their responses.

The City of Chesapeake provided its contact information for residents interested in taking part in the survey:

City of Chesapeake

306 Cedar Road

Chesapeake, VA 23322

Phone: 757-382-2489

In the words of the City of Chesapeake, "Where are your third places? Where do you like to spend time when you are not at home or at work? Tell us in this survey by May 5." Residents are encouraged to contribute their perspectives to help shape the future planning and development of Chesapeake City's community spaces.
