Starting tonight, Monday, Feb. 12, contractor crews with the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will be implementing overnight ramp closures along I-64 in Norfolk. These closures are part of the construction for the Hampton Roads Express Lanes (HREL) Norfolk Segment.

The closures will include the I-64 east and west on- and off-ramps to Tidewater Drive north and south (exit 277) between Feb. 12-19. The closures will take place from as early as 8 p.m. until as late as 5 a.m., but not all ramps will be closed at the same time. Motorists can expect signed detour routes to be in place to guide them during these closures.
