The next session for small businesses starts Sept. 20.
The City of Virginia Beach SWaM Business Office has partnered with AGH Advisory Services to establish the Economic Uplift Capital Accelerator (EUCA), an eight-week program designed to catalyze growth and strengthen business models for entrepreneurs, with a special focus on minority, women and service-disabled veteran entrepreneurs. Applications are now being accepted for the Fall 2023 program.
EUCA is the first program of its kind to emphasize using entrepreneurship and business ownership as a wealth building tool for participants and the community. Its focus areas of knowledge, financial and social capital investments improve business strategy and operations, promote growth for businesses that serve emerging communities through enhanced access to capital, business networks and supply chains to help fuel more equitable economic growth and wealth building in the region.
"The Virginia Beach SWaM Business Office is very excited to offer the EUCA program to the small business community," said Lavera Tolentino, Virginia Beach purchasing manager. "EUCA has provided valuable resources to participants in the areas of business formation, marketing, and wealth building, along with an abundance of networking opportunities to support the growth and development of their businesses."
The next session of the program begins Sept. 20 at The HIVE Business Resource Center. Applications must be submitted by Aug. 25.
Eligibility:
- Business must have been in operation for at least two years. Businesses in operation for less than two years will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
- Businesses must be registered and in good standing to operate a business.
- Must have at least $50,000 in annual revenue.
