VIRGINIA BEACH, VA, June 28, 2023 – On June 27, 2023, at approximately 4:15 PM, a pedestrian, identified as Maria Villasante (F/82) of Virginia Beach, entered the roadway where she was struck by an eastbound vehicle.
Villasante was pronounced deceased on-scene by EMS personnel at 4:23 PM. The next of kin have been notified.
The driver of the vehicle remained on the scene and was cooperative with first responders.
This accident is being investigated by the Virginia Beach Police Department Traffic Safety Unit.
