The Virginia Beach City Auditor's Office published its scheduled audits for the upcoming fiscal year that covers a range of topics including the City's financial sponsorship of SOMETHING IN THE WATER and the BEACH IT! Country Music Festival, construction costs for the new City Hall facility, and a review of the City Charter.
"As the eyes and ears of the City Council, I try to focus on areas that align with the Council's concerns in addition to areas in the organization that may not have previously been audited," said City Auditor Lyndon S. Remias. "These routine audits are meant to ensure that our government is accountable to its residents and transparent with any issues that may be discovered."
The full audit schedule, in addition to previously completed audits and outcomes, can be found online at VirginiaBeach.gov/cityauditor.
