City of Norfolk recently issued the following announcement.
The American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARPA) was passed by Congress in March 2021 to aid in the economic recovery and emergency response to COVID-19.
We want to hear your priorities for how the funds should be invested in our community. Tell us your priorities using this new survey, our prioritize tool, or by emailing the city at ARPACommunication@norfolk.gov.
Feedback from the resources above and public meetings can be viewed here: Public Engagement Dashboard
**The ARPA public comment period is closing on February 16th, 2022. By the end of February, all public comment will be packaged, summarized, and distributed to the facilities where ARPA drop boxes are currently located, as well as posted online.
City administration will then work with Council to develop an improved investment plan. More information will be given as it comes available.**
