Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on Oct. 26
The Hampton Roads Chamber held the 10th annual Mega Mixer Business-to-Business Expo at the Westin Town Center in Virginia Beach, providing the opportunity for businesses to catch up with their current customers and create new relationships and clientele. The Hampton Roads Chamber is proud to serve this region as an Impactful Advocate, Inspiring Ignitor, and Regional Collaborator, setting the conditions for businesses to succeed.
The Presenting Sponsor was BCS Voice & Data Solutions, and Account Executive Paul Hunter spoke about what the company gains from the Chamber networking events. "Absolutely! We see new clientele from every networking event we do with the Chamber. The first thing is we get to see our existing clientele, but then we get to meet some new potential clientele, especially the new startup businesses." Hunter mentioned that aside from the Chamber events, he would like the word to get out a bit more for the business. However, BCS is no stranger to big projects as big clients such as Kings Dominion and Busch Gardens have tapped BCS in the past to take over their park/facilities communications interfaces.
The Mega Mixer exposed great collaboration and created new relationships; but also brought more diversity this year. Chamber Trustee Dr. Tiffney Thompson established Behavior Restoration Health Services in 2018. The company is an African American / minority, women-owned, and family business and has delivered various services to the community, specializing in mental health services. Dr. Thompson explained that even though the company will not accept new patients for the remainder of 2021, she is gearing up clientele for 2022 through the Chamber networking events while also working/volunteering in the community. "We'll be accepting new patients around late December, early January, but right now, we're doing much work in the women's shelter and also the men's shelter here as well." If you or someone you know is facing challenges surrounded by mental health, contact Restoration Behavior Health Services or reach out to your local clinic.
The Hampton Roads Chamber will hold a New Member Meetup at MacArthur Center in downtown Norfolk on 300 Monticello Avenue at 8:00 am. For more information, visit our events page at HamptonRoadsChamber.com/events.
