Graduates earn 109 degrees, certificates from the The Art Institute of Virginia Beach

About 50.5 percent of the 109 degrees and certificates handed out by the The Art Institute of Virginia Beach in 2017-18 were to students in visual and performing arts programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private for-profit institution in Beach conferred 54 bachelor's degrees and 1 certificates in visual and performing arts programs.

But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in intermedia/multimedia. Data shows the school gave out 30 bachelor's degrees in intermedia/multimedia, followed by 13 bachelor's degrees in commercial photography and 13 associate's degrees in culinary arts/chef training.

The institute enrolled 307 students for 2017-18, all of whom were enrolled in undergraduate programs.
