Taste of Suffolk Downtown Street Festival

The 19th annual Taste of Suffolk Downtown Street Festival takes place Saturday, September 13, from 11 a.m.-5 p.m., with an after-party until 8 p.m., in historic downtown Suffolk. Spanning Main Street from Finney Avenue to Washington Street and West Washington Street to Saratoga Avenue, the event features local restaurants offering signature dishes, vendors, live music, a car show, a Fun Zone, and children’s activities. Courthouse Fountain Park will host a Beer Garden with local craft brews. Road closures begin at 4 a.m. and reopen by 7 p.m. Admission is free; visit www.tasteofsuffolkva.com for details.

SonRise Music Festival

The SonRise Music Festival returns to the Virginia Beach Oceanfront September 13–14, 2025, at 24th St. Park, offering a family-friendly weekend of Christian music, speakers, and community connection. Saturday’s lineup includes Ryan Ellis, Kate Stanford, and Sean Rodriguez, with performances from local artists like Michelle Littman & Our Heart of Worship Ministries, Revival Music Company, and Kendall Williams, hosted by emcee Shannon Kendrick. Guests can enjoy kids’ activities, volleyball, vendors, and themed tents, with VIP Meet & Greet options available. Sunday features a free 10 a.m. worship service by Christ Chosen Church.
