Norfolk Animal Care Center (NACC) is organizing an event called the Shelter Spring Fling, aimed at bringing together pet and animal enthusiasts. Scheduled for Saturday, May 17, from noon to 4 p.m., the event will be held at Afterglow Brewing in Norfolk.
The gathering will feature nearly a dozen local animal shelters and rescues from Hampton Roads. The objective is to share resources, promote pet adoption, and celebrate the bond between humans and pets. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet adoptable pets, learn about volunteer and foster opportunities, and connect with fellow animal advocates.
Participating organizations include Norfolk Animal Care Center, Norfolk SPCA, Virginia Beach SPCA, Virginia Beach Animal Care & Adoption Center, Chesapeake Humane Society, Chesapeake Animal Services, PETA, Gloucester-Mathews Humane Society, Portsmouth Humane Society, Suffolk Humane Society, and Reba’s Animal Rescue & Adoption Center.
The event is family-friendly and open to all. Live music will be featured along with food available for purchase from Mockingbird Pasta Bar.
