Jean-Karim Olivier de Sardan has been named the Sun Belt Conference Singles Player of the Week for the second time this spring, according to an announcement from the conference.

The recognition follows a strong performance by Olivier de Sardan, a sophomore from Sardan, France, during Old Dominion University’s Battle in the ‘Boro event last weekend. He won all three of his singles matches at the tournament. On court three, he defeated Rice’s Santiago Navarro with scores of 6-4 and 6-3. He then moved to court two for subsequent matches, where he overcame Emmett Potter from Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) in three sets: 2-6, 7-6, 6-4. In his final match, Olivier de Sardan secured a victory over Jonas Dziopak of Utah with scores of 6-3, 4-6, and 6-0.

Olivier de Sardan currently holds a record of five wins and three losses for the spring season and is on a four-match winning streak in singles competition.
